SPRING/SUMMER 2009 (working test season)
Saturday 19th September - GWCT National Finals, Third (Puppy)
Congratulations to Derek, who ran Jobeshill Lotta of Stauntonvale (Bea) in the Game & Wildlife Conservancy National Finals puppy test, held at Midland Game Fair, Weston Park. Whilst the tests were very easy, the scenting was extremely poor and the ground was, of course, very distracting. A good performance in a testing environment, and narrowly missing First Place by just one point!
Saturday 1st August - MCLRC, First Prize (Novice)
Wow, what a weekend!
Laura ran Jobeshill Lotta of Stauntonvale (Bea) in her first Novice test at Midland Counties Labrador Retriever Club, held at Ancaster, Lincs. The test was walked up in sugar beet, using cold game.
Bea came First, meaning that she has now qualified into Open (but is still classified as a Puppy)!
And just to prove it wasn't a fluke, Derek ran Bea the next day at Dove Valley's Novice working test, held at Brailsford, Derbs. Obviously she had to run 'non competitively' now but it was pleasing to see that she had the highest score on the day again, so would have won this test also.
