Maud's Pedigree


This 'little girl' (big girl!) has a lot to live up to if she is to follow in the footsteps of her FT Champion parents. There is already a hint of the lovely hunting style of her mother (Pru) and that intuitive connection in taking an initial cast - alongside a laid-back, happy-go-lucky character.

Maud ran in three puppy tests in Summer 2011 (placed second in all of them!) and is ready to progress into novice competitions now..........

and THEN........

when Pru came into season the day before Dove Valley's Open Test, Laura decided to use her run to give young Maud some exposure. An extremely thorough test (13 retrieves on land and over water, including a drive and a walk up), and with 46 dogs entered on the card - Maud, at the tender age of 15 months, came third! Way to go Maud!!! (beaten in First Place by her 'aunty' Bea!)

Laura tried Maud in a couple of Novice trials in 2011, but decided she didn't have the maturity required yet! So, her training will continue throughout 2012, and Laura looks forward to competing with her again then.
